Our Ethos & Values
At Ingrow Primary School, we believe every child is unique and full of potential. Our role is to nurture that potential so that every child can be the very best version of themselves.
We want our school to be more than a place of learning — it is a community where children feel safe, valued, and inspired. It is also where they learn how to build positive relationships and understand their place in the wider world.
We work closely with parents, carers, and our wider community to give every child the strongest possible start in life.
Our Bee Rules
Be Kind
Always look for ways to help others feel happy and included. Use gentle words and a friendly voice.
- In School: We use kind words and actions. We share and help tidy up without being asked. We make sure no one is left out or feels alone at our school.
- Good Citizen: You show kindness by caring for our environment and being kind to people we meet.
Be Respectful
Listening carefully when teachers or friends are speaking, and waiting your turn. Being proud of your work and treating things with care. Always remember your manners.
- In School: We put our hands up to speak and listen to instructions the first time. We look after our belongings and classroom resources so they last for everyone.
- Good Citizen: You show respect by listening to grown-ups in your family and community. You respect nature by not damaging plants or trees. You respect rules in public places like libraries and parks.
Be Safe
Thinking before you move, following rules, and keeping your hands and feet to yourself. Keeping ourselves and others safe lets everyone learn and play.
- In School: We walk inside the building, we are in the right place at the right time, and tell a trusted adult if we see something unsafe. We follow e-safety rules when using computers.
- Good Citizen: You show you are safe by listening to adults near roads and wearing your helmet when riding your bike. You know when to say “No” or “Stop” if something makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
Be Inquisitive
Being a super-learner! Asking lots of "Why?" and "How?" questions. Trying new things, being curious, working hard, and never giving up.
- In School: We pay attention in lessons, try our hardest even when things are tricky, and read lots of books to find out new facts. We are proud of our effort!
- Good Citizen: You show you are inquisitive by learning about different people and places in the world. You ask questions about local events and news. You use your brain to solve problems at home and help your family.
